On Thursday, June 23rd, Živković Samardžić Partner Miloš Milošević will participate in a panel discussion within the „Judiciary and Business Dialogue – A Step Further Towards Efficient Enforcement“ round table, under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice, the Judicial Academy and USAID’s Business Enabling Project (BEP). The list of panellists includes Mr. Jovan Kordić, President of the Commercial Court in Belgrade, Ms. Mirjana Dimitrijević, enforcement officer and Mr. Mihajlo Živković, Foreign Investors Council’s Legal Committee President.
The panellists shall discuss the implications of the Enforcement and Security Law aiming to enhance efficiency of enforcement of judicial awards and of collection, as major prerequisite for the improvement of lending terms and increase of investments and trade. The panel shall be attended by the judges of the Commercial Courts, Commercial Appellate Court and the Supreme Court of Cassation, the Ministry of Justice officials, representatives of the AmCham Serbia, Foreign Investors Council, Serbian Association of Managers and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, enforcement officers, representatives of the Banks, Leasing Companies and their associations.
USAID’s Business Enabling Project is a seven-year initiative launched in January 2011, helping the Government of Serbia to increase the competitiveness of the Serbian economy and its private sector by streamlining the business enabling environment, improving public financial management, and strengthening financial markets.
Miloš Milošević, who joined Živković Samardžić in 2010 after 15 years in the judiciary, as a judicial clerk at the Commercial Court in Belgrade and the Supreme Court of Serbia, Judge at the Fourth Municipal Court in Belgrade and a Civil Law Appellate Chamber Judge at the District Court in Belgrade, is the senior national legal expert and consultant on the “Rule of Law and Enforcement” project (RoLE). The project that focuses entirely on improving the system of enforcement of civil claims in Serbia, is financed by the EU and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
