The Decree on Terms and Conditions for Attracting Direct Investments, passed by the Government of Serbia, has entered into force on the last day of December 2016. The Decree incentivizes investments resulting in commencement of new business activities, expansion of existing capacities or expansion of production to new products and production processes, under the condition of securing new jobs. It determines the maximum amount of funds that may be awarded and the minimum investment requirements based on the level of development of the respective local self-government unit where the investment is made and in relation to the investment’s justified expenses.
