AmCham Committee for Real Estate organised a round table session on the practice of notaries in the application of regulations in the real estate field which was moderated by Ksenija Golubović Filipović, Živković Samardžić Partner and Head of Real Estate and Svetlana Vukelić, Vice President of the AmCham Committee for Real Estate. The moderators pointed out that the aim of the round table was to clarify legal issues that in the past have often been subject to a variety of interpretations in practice, with the aim of establishing greater predictability for companies that want to comply fully with regulations.
The round table, which was held at the Chamber of Public Notaries, was attended by notaries Sava Dedajić and Aleksandar Mrkaljević, members of the Executive Board of the Chamber of Public Notaries, who gave answers to numerous questions from American Chamber of Commerce members about various practices of public notaries and their interpretations of regulations in the real estate field.
The member of the AmCham Board of Directors, Marko Jović said that “The need to open a dialogue between the economy and holders of public notary functions was confirmed as a priority for the AmCham Committee for Real Estate in 2019 in view of the important role assigned to notaries in property law.”
