Pursuant to the Article 33 of the Law on Chambers of Commerce (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 112/15) and Article 42, paragraph 1, item 2 sub-item 4) of the Statute of Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 39/16), the Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, at its meeting held on 8 December 2016, adopted the Decision on the amount, manner and terms of payment of membership fees and financing Chamber of Commerce of Serbia in 2017 (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 101/16). The Decision came into force on 17 December 2016 and its implementation have begun on 1 January 2017.
All members of the Chamber of Commerce, legal and natural persons performing a registered commercial activity on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, shall pay the membership fee. The amount of due membership fees shall depend on the annual operating revenue as per 2015 financial statements, as follows:
- members with annual operating income of RSD 20 million to RSD 300 million shall have to pay the membership fee in the amount of RSD 300.00 per month;
- members with annual operating income of RSD 300 million to RSD 600 million shall have to pay the membership fee in the amount of RSD 600.00 per month;
- members with annual operating income of RSD 600 million to RSD 1 billion shall have to pay the membership fee in the amount of RSD 20,000.00 per month;
- members with annual operating income of RSD 1 billion to RSD 2.5 billion shall have to pay the membership fee in the amount of RSD 80,000.00 per month, and
- members with annual operating income exceeding RSD 2.5 billion shall have to pay the membership fee in the amount of RSD 185,000.00 per month.
This shall be also applicable to entrepreneurs, members of branch associations of the Chamber of Commerce, while the other members of the Chamber of Commerce (e.g. general association of entrepreneurs, cooperative unions, associations, societies, etc.) shall have to pay the membership fee in the amount of RSD 1,000.00 per month.
In case of the members whose 2015 financial statements are not available, amount of due membership fees shall depend on the annual operating revenue as per latest available financial statements.
The membership fees are to be paid on a monthly basis, along with the payment of the salaries to the employees, to the Chamber’s bank account number 205-2238-67 kept with the Komercijalna banka AD Beograd, with 290 as a code of payment and payer’s tax identification number as the reference. Payment of the full annual amount of the membership fee is available as an option.
Member of the Chamber of Commerce may be exempted from the obligation to pay the membership fee in case of pending bankruptcy proceedings, upon the submission of the valid decision on the opening of bankruptcy proceedings and a formal request for exemption signed by the bankruptcy administrator. Additionally, an exemption is provided for newly established business entities, that are exempted from the obligation to pay the membership fee for the period of one year as of the day of their establishment.
