The Association of Lawyers in Economy of the Republic of Serbia held its 32nd Meeting of Lawyers in Economy, in Zlatibor, Serbia, from May 27-29, focusing on “Business Law and Challenges of Sustainable Business.”
A valuable feature of the conference was the panel on the digitisation of civil proceedings, moderated by Miloš V. Milošević, a partner at Živković Samardžić Law Office. The panel included notable experts such as Jelena Deretić from the Ministry of Justice, Predrag Miladinović from Vuković & Partners law firm, public bailiff Dragana Vojvodić, and Branka Babović Vuksanović, docent at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade.
These experts explored the need for the digital transformation of the civil proceedings, emphasising its importance for Serbia’s aspirations for EU accession. The discussion highlighted the potential benefits and challenges of integrating digital technologies into the legal system, aiming to modernize and streamline civil processes to meet European standards.
The Association of Lawyers in the Economy of the Republic of Serbia, as a professional non-profit organisation, was founded on December 23, 1992. It was founded by lawyers who worked in the economy (22 of them), as individuals, and representatives of the Association of Lawyers in the Economy of Serbia and the Association of Lawyers in the Economy of Montenegro.
Miloš V. Milošević joined Živković Samardžić in 2010. He graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in 1995 and spent 15 years in the judiciary, as a judicial clerk at the Commercial Court in Belgrade and the Supreme Court of Serbia, Judge at the Fourth Municipal Court in Belgrade and as a Civil Law Appellate Chamber Judge at the District Court in Belgrade. Miloš specialises in Civil Law and Civil Procedure Law and lectures on Civil Procedures at the Union University Faculty of Law in Belgrade. He is the Head of our Dispute Resolution practices.
