This week, in the organization of our client Nestlé, a Legal South East Market (Adriatic region, Romania and Bulgaria) meeting was held in Belgrade. Two-day workshop on bilateral and multilateral aspects of SEM countries, which brought together Nestlé SEM legal team to exchange best practices from the areas of tax treaties, bilateral and multilateral conventions, GDPR, Data Privacy, Antitrust and UTP.
Igor Živkovski, Živković Samardžić Corporate and M&A Partner presented to Nestlé SEM legal team his experience and knowledge about agreements on avoidance of double taxation concluded between Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia, interpretation and application of Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations and Posting of Workers Directive, as well as about the distribution and agency arrangements in practice. Presentation was followed by discussion between participants about legal and commercial relations between SEM countries.
